Cetaceans are creatures from the order Cetacea, which includes whales, dolphins, porpoises, and narwhals, and consist of the largest animals to have ever lived on the planet. They are purely marine mammals, meaning they cannot survive if on land, and rely on their unique nostrils positioned atop their head to breathe. They have horizontal tails, thick blubber, and either teeth or baleen they use to eat. They can live in cold or warm water, and some may migrate across the oceans.
